- ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆May 17, 2020, by Charity WimberlyI went to Ursula to get extensions for the very first time. Friends of mine that have them say they use 1-2 packs in their hair (packs are $160 each). During my consultation I explained I wanted ombré hair, showed her a picture of how it used to look, and that I wanted extensions. We looked through colors and she picked one that said would give me almost the exact look of the photo but that I would need 4 packs of hair. About 2 weeks later, after ordering $640 worth of hair, she puts them in and they are the exact color of my natural hair, and because they are so processed already, we couldn't lighten them. Even though it didn't turn out as discussed, I was still fine with the outcome, although wasn't 100% pleased with the $160 bayalage charge, which was so subtle you could hardly see it. Two days later, after washing and styling my hair, I contacted Ursula because my hair was SO heavy and was not holding curls. We talked on the phone and I ensured her I was not at all upset, just concerned with the weight and tips on the temperature of my curling wand I bought after getting the extensions, to hopefully help the curls hold. About 3 weeks later, one of the strips of extensions came out as I was brushing my hair. I texted Ursula asking if I needed to keep it or throw it away, as I didn't know if it could be reused & she said to keep it and that was the end of our conversation (no offer to put it back in since it came out so early-which even the girl that I know goes to her said she should have done). I hadn't spoken with her sense until roughly 4 weeks later (so 7 weeks since they've been put in) when I texted her saying that I would like to schedule an appointment to come in and get the extensions redone as five pieces had fallen out and we were leaving for vacation in 3 weeks. She texted me giving me the prices (which were higher than what I was originally told). I reached out to the a girl I know who goes to Ursula, and she informed me that that wasn't the price she paid and to just ask if the prices went up. I told her I didn't want to ask because during my appointment, Ursula informed me that on several occasions she has dropped clients if they are unhappy or don't take care of their hair (which I assure you I have been because I am not about ruining $640 worth of hair). So the girl then reaches out to Ursula and I guess told her I was curious about the price or asked for herself, but since Ursula just gave me a quote and she knows me and this girl know each other, she either assumed I said something or the girl told her I was questioning it. I texted Ursula back shortly after telling her that date would be perfect and I just needed to check with my husbands schedule. The next thing I know, I'm getting a text from her telling me that 'I always seem unhappy' (mind you she has done my hair once & I have only conversed with her twice since-as mentioned) & 'she can never make me happy with my hair' (she's done my hair once), & that because I'm unhappy she doesn't think our 'client/stylist relationship' will work & she is 'letting me go'...with 5 strips of extensions, that she put in, out & leaving for vacation in 3 weeks. The great news is, I found a salon in Woodstock who would work with the brand of extensions I had purchased through Ursula. And by the time I went and saw her (like a 1.5 weeks before we left for vacation), I had a total of TEN extension pieces total come out. TEN pieces come out within 8.5 weeks! The stylist scheduled me to come in a week after she put them in just to double check how they were holding up and if I'd want to add any more hair we could (which I appreciated!) I've had them in for 9 weeks as of today and just had my first piece come out! She also only put in half of the hair, as I had mentioned it was super heavy and took forever to style. So it's staying in better and I still have a half of the hair I purchased to continue using when the hair I'm currently using is no longer good. Ursula did wish me the best when she 'let me go' in finding my 'happy hair'. And, I did.
